Subject: Photography Exhibition!

A forthcoming photography exhibition will be of great interest to those who have been posting and indeed viewing in this topic.

Starting at Tuesday 6 March and running until 30 June there will be an exhibition of photos of old Albufeira at the Archaeological Museum in Albufeira. Open every day except Mondays and Holidays from 0930 to 1730.

Fausto Napier documented Albufeira for several decades and is regarded as the town's prime photographer.

There may be other more recent candidates from close at hand, but this is sure to be worth a little visit.

For those who don't know, the Archaeological Museum is located in the Praça Republica, almost opposite the Sol e Mar hotel. Up the steps by the tunnel, turn left and about 100 metres up the hill.

I will probably go myself next week and will let you know what's what afterwards.

They announced today (!) that the final of the Algarve Cup will be played on the afternoon of Tuesday 1st May, which is of course a public holiday.

ALGARVE STADIUM ko 1600hrs/4pm

I might take a little trip over there. Proper stadium, about 500 fans I would guess. Admission has been free at the finals I have been to.

To all who know me or who might get to do so later.

The weekend of 15/16 September 2012 will be marked by the celebration (is that the right word?) of my 60th.

Yes, big 60.

Among events currently being planned are :

A spot of golf for those who play, with a trophy etc. This will be sponsored/paid for.

Much drinking of beer.

Dinner hosted and paid for by me on the Sunday night at a suitable establishment.

I was going to include bowling, but it has closed down.

Would anyone who plans to be around please let me know by Private Message and include an email address as I would like to keep a mailing list in one place.

Then when things start to come together I can send out one message to all.
